~ZBA Meeting on Thursday 12/1

Please attend the Duxbury ZBA Meeting on Thursday, December 1st at 7:00 PM in person at the Town Hall or via Zoom. Keene's Mill Village is the only project being discussed. Your attendance is extremely important as the public hearings will be coming to a close soon. The ZBA needs to hear from concerned residents and neighbors about the proposed 28 unit 40B being proposed for this site.

Meeting ID: 936 1632 7348

Passcode: 943482

Call in: 929-205-6099

New documentation was received by the ZBA on November 23 (day before Thanksgiving) for this meeting. All documentation can be found on the Town of Duxbury website HERE.

Items to Note in the New Plans:

NEW - Four duplexes (eight units) are now proposed to feed into North Street at the intersection of Keene Street. The design of the duplexes is not provided in the site plans. This is a change from eight individual units.

NEW - An "open space" area with a four foot cinder wall, benches and tables is proposed for the corner of North and Keene at the four way stop sign.

Additional information to note from the Response to Peer Review letter received by the ZBA on November 23 is listed below. The entire letter can be found HERE.

#1 The updated list of waivers contains more detailed information. However, the list is not final and will likely be modified through the public hearing process. #7 Snow storage areas are shown on Sheet 3 of the plans. However, these are fairly small and snow removal may be required during periods of heavy snowfall.

#12 We are continuing to work with the NHESP (Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Program) in conjunction with the Conservation filing and will provide updated materials once completed.

#13 The sidewalk along the east side of North Street is no longer proposed. However, a culvert is needed across the proposed road to maintain flow along the east side of North Street from south of the proposed road to the wetlands.
