~Looking Back - Conceptual Three Units Plan

Looking Back to 2015:

A conceptual subdivision plan for North Street was presented to the Duxbury Planning Board in 2015 with three houses along with a Citizen's Petition to modify the Wetlands Protection Overlay District. This plan was not pursued after the Citizen's Petition did not pass at Town Meeting in March 2015.

Compare the pictures below of the conceptual plan from 2015 to the 20 unit 40B development proposed to the Duxbury Board of Selectman in February 2021.

The Citizen's Petition was discussed at multiple Planning Board meetings in 2015 leading up to Town Meeting.

March 16, 2015 - Town Meeting 2015

The Frank Ness Trust petitioned to have the Wetland Protection Overlay District modified for the land on the 0 North Street property with Article 39 and Article 40 at the March 16, 2015 Annual Town Meeting. Article 39 did not pass and Article 40 was removed.
